Carving pumpkin heads from pumpkins for Halloween

What you need for carving:

- A knife and a spoon
- Pumpkins according to your mood
- Two bowls and a cutting board are also practical
- Possibly a pencil & a sheet of paper

First, you can draw the face you want to give the pumpkin on a sheet of paper, roughly in its original size.



Then cut out the mouth, nose and eyes and hold this up to the pumpkin to transfer it with a pen. Of course, you can also draw it directly onto the pumpkin.



Then cut a lid off the pumpkin first.



You can then scrape out the contents with a spoon.



It is best to separate the seeds and the pumpkin flesh into two different bowls, so you can make soup from the pumpkin flesh and either dry the seeds for next year's display or use them for cooking.



Then you can carve the pre-drawn face.



You can either cut out the eyes, nose and mouth completely or you can work partially with just cut elements.
