Our apple and raspberry jam confectionery is handmade with love in a small Latvian family business.

The Baltic and Scandinavian countries are known for their abundance of berries and apples.

Many berries, such as sea buckthorn, blueberries and cranberries, grow naturally in the wild or are cultivated as vitamin-rich foods, such as prickly currants and raspberries. Many old apple varieties are also still grown here in the countryside.

In their small manufactory, Livija and her husband Pēteris produce a fruit confection with a unique taste from these wonderful fruits.

After many years of trial and error, the couple managed to find the perfect recipe that offers a good balance between taste, firmness and shelf life.

The apple and raspberry kofenkt consists of 40% apple, 40% raspberries, 19% sugar and 1% pectin.

It is therefore a delicious combination of sweet raspberry flavor, sweet and sour apple taste and pleasantly soft bite.

Over time, the natural fructose in the confectionery begins to crystallize, similar to the crystallization that occurs in honey. This is a natural process and is not a quality defect. The fine aroma does not suffer from this either.
