- General information about royal jelly:
Royal jelly, also known as royal jelly, is the food juice with which the bees raise their queen and feed her for the rest of her life. Royal jelly is only available to the queen throughout her life. Due to its composition (protein, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates), it reaches 800 times its weight within 5 days and its life span is about 60 times longer than that of its conspecifics, which only receive royal jelly for the first three days of their lives.
But humans have also long recognized the value of this unique elixir. Both the Greeks and Romans were already familiar with royal jelly and various Native American tribes also appreciated it. But royal jelly is also popular in Chinese medicine.
